Golden Deer

The intriguing golden deer in the Wayang Orang Dance is cute.

reog-ponorogo dance

I am working on the dancer of Reog-Ponorogo. The dancer as the base holding the float is done but I still need to work on the float with peacock feather and the boy riding on top. I particularly like the lion's head.

Beautiful collection of Higashi again from Kamesuehiro of Kyoto. This box is 3500 yen at about $40US (2 layers). Every time I go to Kyoto I buy one box! The selection follows the season, so I never have the same selection ever. So far I have been to Kyoto in Sept, Oct, Nov, Jan, early April, late May, July.
